Jack Frost / Frost (1998)
*A woman is raped by an evil snowman that rips off his nose and makes it into his penis.
*She dies as a result of the brutal rape.
*Nudity is seen during the rape.

The Jacket (R) (2005)
*We learn that a male patient sodomized and murdered a little girl sometime ago.
*For those that are sensitive to such topics, the entire movie is about institutional abuse (not sexual abuse, solely abuse).

Jackson County Jail (1976)
*Scenes of the rape of a woman and her humiliation are seen.

Jackson County Jail / Outside Chance (TV) (1978)
*A sheriff attempts to rape a woman in a holding cell.
*She kills him in self defense.

Jaded (1996)
*This movie deals with lesbian rape. A young woman gets raped by a young lesbian couple.

Jailbait! (different years)
*Statutory rape.

Jailbait (TV) (2000)
*A male teenager is charged with statutory rape, although the sex was consensual.
*This is a comedy.

Jawbreaker (1999)
*Sexual innuendo referring to rape takes place.

Jessi's Girls (1975)
*A young Mormon couple is attacked by a gang. The man is murdered and the woman is gang raped and left for dead. The act is seen.
*The woman survives and seeks violent revenge against her rapists.

The Jewel in the Crown (mini series) (1984)
*The movie begins with a man being unjustly arrested for a rape he did not commit in India.
*The rest of the movie deals with the consequences of the arrest.

Jezebel's Kiss (1990)
*This movie contains a rape scene.
Joan of Arc (The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc)(1999)
*Note: It's likely that other remakes of the Joan of Arc story refer to rape in some way.
*Joan witnesses the brutal rape of her sister by English soldiers. Her sister is grabbed, and when she tries to fight back, a soldier rips her clothes and kisses her. He slams her against a door and stabs a sword through her torso. He then violently rapes her while she is dying. This scene is very graphic and we see everything.
*This scene haunts Joan and we see her flashbacks of the event.

John Carpenter’ s Vampires / Vampires (1998)
*An eroticised rape scene (may)take place between a female vampire and a man.
*There is some confusion regarding whether or not this scene, in actual fact, portrays rape, as she is shown as enjoying the scene. However, I believe that this scene takes place while she is in bondage, which may be the deciding factor for some.

Johnny Belinda (many remakes)

Johnny Belinda (1948)
*This movie takes place in Cape Breton. A young deaf and mute woman is brutally raped by the town bully / local womanizer and impregnated by him.
*The local populace thinks that her father is the father of the baby.
*The rapist threatens to take her baby away from her.
*In a cruel twist of fate, it is decided by others that custody of the baby should be given to the rapist. When he and his wife come to claim the baby, the rape survivor kills him. A trial ensues.

Johnson County Wars / Heaven's Gate (1980)
*This movie takes place in the 1980’s in the West.
*A woman is gang raped by four, possibly five men.

Joseph (TV) (1995)
*This tells the Biblical story of Joseph.
*A woman forces Joseph (her husband's slave) to serve her sexually.
*He refuses and flees, but the woman claims that he has violated her.
*Joseph tells the tale of his past. Part of this tale includes the rape of a young woman by a prince. Her family wants to kill the perpetrator.
*Joseph is imprisoned for the rape of his master's wife, although the master does not believe that she was actually raped. He imprisons him in order to publicly protect his wife's reputation.

The Joy Luck Club (1993)
*There is a brief rape scene between an old man and a young woman in this movie.

Joy Ride (2001)
*The DVD has scenes that were deleted from the movie. There is a brief scene in which an attempted rape is taking place. Someone walks in and the scene ends. This seems to be a very brief scene.

Judgment (1990)
*A young boy is sexually molested by his priest. He tells his parents, who bring the problem to light and attempt to get the church to do something about the priest. The church is less than helpful and the family must deal with a church filled with hypocrisy. The church offers them hush money, which they refuse. They get a lawyer to seek the harshest possible sentence against the priest.

Just A Kiss (2002)
*A woman discusses having had (consensual) sex with her therapist.
*A woman discusses having had violent, bondage-type sex with a man who she thinks was playing out a rape fantasy. The sex is not shown.

Just Cause (1995)
*A man forces a woman to touch his genitals.
*A man threatens a woman and her daughter with rape.
*The rape and murder of a young girl are discussed throughout the entire film.

Just Looking (2000)
*There are brief discussions of child molestation.
*A young girl mentions that her step-father molested her.
*For those disturbed by voyeuristic scenes, a young boy spends much of the money attempting to watch two people have sex. He spies on others, watches them in their homes, hides in closets, and uses binoculars. He gets close to but does not ultimately achieve his goal.

Justine / De Sade's Justine / Marquis de Sade's Justine (1977)
*Extreme and numerous rape scenes are shown.
*The scenes include rape of nuns, forced prostitution, rape by a priest, rape of a corpse (necrophelia), sadism and violence.

K-Pax (2002)
*A man recounts, while hypnotized, finding his wife's raped and murdered body. We later see flashbacks of the rape.

Kalifornia (1993)
Adele reveals that she had been gang raped by three men in the past. I do not think the rape is shown, but am not certain.
Karate Cop / Omega Cop II / The Challenge: Omega Cop II (1991)
*The character played by Chuck Norris attempts to rape a woman.

Karen (year unknown)
*There is a rape scene in this movie.

Kick or Die (1991) / No Hard Feelings (1987)
Two kick fighting champions are hired to protect women on campus from a rapist that has been terrorizing them.
*I am unsure whether or not a rape scene is shown.

Kids (1995)
*In this movie, a woman is raped by a friend while she is passed out. This is a very graphic scene.
*This movie is about the life of preteens and teens which often slips into drugs, alcohol, sex and promiscuity. It is a kind of warning about the realities of today's youth and the ensuing breakdown of society.
*The attitudes towards women / girls of one boy in particular are absolutely horrifying. I found just his attitudes, and they way he spoke to and about females was triggering. There is even one moment where he spots his next potential sexual conquest, who is a little girl carrying a doll. He starts to talk suggestively to her, and then stops. That image was very triggering for me, due to her young age and innocence, and her vulnerability to this disgusting human being.

KIDS IN AMERICA (2005) (Gregory Smith, Stephanie Sherrin) (PG-13)
*Female genital mutilation is briefly discussed during a political discussion.
*A boy films cheerleaders from below them, and makes sexual comments. I think that they are being filmed willingly, but am unsure as to whether or not they realize the view point of the camera.

Kika (1993)
*A woman is raped on a bed.
*A maid is tied to a chair and forced to watch the rape take place.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 (2003)
*A hospital orderly brings in another man to rape a patient who has been comatose for years. This doesn't actually happen.
*A lot of degrading conversation takes place regarding raping her.
*We learn that she has been raped in this way many times before, and that the orderly was making money for allowing her to be raped.
*We also learn that the patient was impregnated by one of her rapists.

Killer - A Journal of a Murderer (1996)
*This movie is based on a true story about a murderer and a rapist who is thought to be one of the most reprehensible, evil human beings to have ever lived. In real life, he admitted to raping over 1000 men and boys. I don't know exactly what is seen in the movie, but I would say "Don't risk it"!

The Killing Kind (1973)
*A boy is forced to participate in a gang rape of a woman. We see this scene.
*He is sent to a reformatory as a result.
*He starts seeing all women as the cause of the problems he’s now facing (ie: being sent to the reformatory) and starts murdering women.

Killing Streets (1991)
*We see a rape take place.

Killing Zoe (1994)
*There is a rape scene in this movie.
*A woman is used for sex.
*A woman is treated very degradingly and badly in this movie.

King Arthur (2004)
*Guinevere jokes that she won't let a particular group of men rape Lancelot. This is a comment made in passing for laughs.
*A Saxon man is on top of a woman on the ground. She screams as he tries to rape her. Other men are standing around and watching. However, another man kicks the potential rapist off her and kills him. He then orders that the woman be killed.
King Solomon's Mines (year unknown)
*I’m not sure which version, but one of the remakes has a rape scene(s) in it.

Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects (1989)
*A women is sexually assaulted on a train.
*Another young woman is kidnapped and forced into a teen prostitution ring.
*There is a rape scene in this movie.

Kinsey (R) (2004)
*In this movie, there are lots of potential triggers. The entire movie is about a man researching sexuality, so it pretty much focuses on many facets of sex and is explicit / graphic.
*A husband and wife attempt to have sex, (consent is given) which is painful for the wife as it is her first time. We see her pained expressions before she makes him stop.
*A man admits to having sex with a prostitute when he was 14.
*A man states that he engaged in bestiality.
*A boy states that he was forced to wear a strap to prevent masturbation when he was 10.
*We hear and see a brief montage of a man’s sexual experiences. He states in this montage that his sexual experiences included extended family members, animals, and underage males and females. He briefly discussed what a boy’s orgasm looks like, stating that it looks the same as a man’s.
*A young man states that he was branded and beaten by his brothers and father when they found him during a homosexual encounter, forcing him to leave home at age 13.

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang (R) (2005) (Robert Downey Jr. Val Kilmer)
*We learned that a woman was sexually assaulted by her father every night as a child.
*We see a flashback to a scene in which a woman is bare breasted and blindfolded. A man is kissing her breasts. We then learn that this is the same girl who was raped by her father, still a victim of incest as an adult woman.
*A woman is passed out or asleep. A man is touching her hip. Another man sees this and makes him move his hand.

Kiss or Kill (1997)
*We see a video of a male athlete having sexual activities with a young boy.

Kiss the Girls (1997)
*In this movie, a woman is abducted and beaten up, then a man attempts to rape her. This does not actually take place.

Kissed (R) (1997)
*The whole movie is about a woman who is a necropheliac.
*Some may be especially upset by this movie as the movie attempts to humanize and normalize this behaviour.

The Klansman (1974)
*A young white woman is violently raped in a small town.
*The town learns of the rape and people are shocked and disturbed.
*The prejudiced father of the rape victim assumes that the attacker had to be black and blames a local black youth.

The Knack (1965)
*My research is very sketchy on this movie. I do know that it is a comedy. Intercourse happens. This may have been rape or simply sex with someone the woman did not especially like.

Koyla (2001)
*This movie contains very graphic rape scenes that are intended to arouse the viewer.
*A secretary is repeatedly raped throughout the film.
*Nudity is shown during the rape scenes.
*The movie contains high amounts of vulgarity and wanton violence.

LA Confidential (1997)
*It should be noted that this movie also involves a lot of violence against women.
*Three suspects are accused of raping a woman.
*One of the accused says her raped her just because he wanted to lose his virginity.
*A naked woman is seen tied up to a bed inside the house of one of the rape suspect's house.

*One man grabs another by his testicles to force him to talk.

Lady in a Cage (1963)
*There is a rape scene in this movie.
*A woman is trapped in an elevator during a power outage. Drawn by her cries for help, three sadistic hoodlums terrorize and rape her.
*A psychologically and physically brutal movie. Exploitative.

Lair of the White Worm (1998)
*This movie includes a scene where a woman is tied up against her will. The scene is filmed erotically.
*Nuns are raped in this movie.
*The rape scenes are extremely graphic and violent.

Last Exit to Brooklyn (1989)
*A woman has sex with a gang of sailors in this movie. It should be noted that this can’t technically be called a rape scene, as the woman is a prostitute who invites the man to have sex with her. However, the sex scene that ensues is graphic and violent. I get the feeling that it is filmed as if it were a rape, but the movie producer gets away with it by having the woman consent to having herself to be used in this way.
*An extremely brutal and quick sex scene takes place between a man and his wife while she is sleeping. I am not certain (as I have not watched the movie) but believe that her consent was not given for this act. Therefore, because of the lack of consent, this may be seen as rape and may be a very triggering scene for some.

The Last House on Dead End Street / At the Hour of Our Death / The Cuckoo Clocks of Hell / (1977)
*Gruelingly tasteless, graphic and demented. It is a movie about a man that makes pornographic snuff videos for a bunch of rich men. He eventually gets sickened by the men that pay him to make the movies and puts them in the snuff videos to do away with them. Many scenes of horrifying torture and bondage.
*There are numerous S&M scenes, including rape.

The Last House on the Left (1972)
*This is a horror movie in which four criminals kidnap, torture, rape and murder two teenaged girls.
*The acts are shown in graphic and violent detail.

Last of the Hard Men (1976)
*A woman is kidnapped and graphically raped. The scene is filmed callously and her reactions are unrealistic.

Last Summer (1969)
*There have been many remakes of this movie, including a made for TV movie, which may also include rape scenes.
*Three teenagers (two boys and a girl) rape a young woman. The rape is the climax of the movie.

Last Tango in Paris (1995)
*This movie has a scene which could be seen as anal rape.

Last Train from Gun Hill (1959)
*A woman is raped and murdered.
*The husband of the rape victim searches for the perpetrators.

The Last Victim / Forced Entry (1975)
*A man who has suffered years of childhood abuse at the hands of his mother has grown up to become a psychotic killer. He takes out his rage against women by raping them before he murders them.
*He falls in love with one of his victims and she must learn to manipulate his feelings to save herself.

The Last Wargame (1993)
*There is a rape scene in this movie.

Law or Justice (1989)
*A serial rapist rapes two sisters. A female lawyer successfully defends him in court, and he is let off the hook. She now regrets her actions. He goes on trial for another rape and she must decide whether to follow the letter of the law, or take justice into her own hands.

Laws of Attraction (2004)
*This movie contains a brief mention only of therapy or institutional sexual assault. A woman who is a nymphomaniac mentions that she had sex with her therapist while in rehab for her sex addiction. The act is not seen though.

Leaving Las Vegas (1995)
*Yuri, who is a pimp, disciplines Sera, a prostitute, for not earning enough money. He disciplines her in a degrading way which includes cutting her bare buttocks with a knife, as he does not want to damage her face.
*An extremely violent and shocking gang rape scene takes place. Sera goes out to meet a group of men who are paying to have sex with her while videotaping the event. They tell her they want to have anal sex with her, which she doesn't want to do. She attempts to leave but they keep her there and punch her. She is held down and raped anally.
* Sera takes a shower to cleanse herself from the rape. She is shown bleeding and then has flashbacks.

The Legend of Hell House (1973)
*We learn that the mansion where the movie takes place was once owned by a woman who had parties where guests had orgies, gang rapes, torture and murders… basically every depravity that exists. I do not think that these events are shown.
*A woman becomes possessed and has an unquenchable need to have sex with anyone.

The Legend of Tom Dooley (1959)
*There is a rape scene in this movie.

Lethal Victims / Death Blow / I will Dance on your Grave / W.A.R.: Women Against Rape (1987)
*Women who are survivors of rape form a bond of their shared experiences. They are determined to put an end to rape in all society for good.
*I am uncertain as to whether or not the rapes are seen, but this is very likely.

Let's Play Dead / Abducted (1973)
*This is a disturbing trash movie which has multiple disturbing scenes and issues.
*The relationship between the mother and her sons is incestuous.
*One brother kidnaps girls for his younger, mentally handicapped brother to "play" with. The brothers are middle aged or older.
*The women are kept as "pets" in the basement.
*The younger brother sexually assaults a young woman by playing "doctor" with her. Sodomy occurs in this scene.
*The older brother rapes a young woman.
*Nudity and torture is seen.

Liar Liar (1992) (TV)
*Themes of child sexual abuse are in this movie.
*The movie goes into frank detail about the child sexual abuse.
*A girl is sexually abused by her father. She tries to speak up about it, but no one believes her apart from her teacher and a social worker.
*We learn that the girl’s brother and eldest sister were similarly abused.
*The case goes to court and the court takes the father’s side in the matter, blaming the victim.
*The father turns the siblings against each other so that they make the daughter seem less credible. While in court.
*The girl’s sister finally speaks out against the abuse, which gets the father prosecuted for his crime.

Liar Liar (1997)
*My memory is a little foggy on this but the main character played by Jim Carey is put into jail. His secretary pays his bail. When he leaves the jail and sees her, she says something to the effect of "Did I manage to get you freed before someone sexually assaulted you in there?" Some may be disturbed by this lame attempt at prison rape humour.

The Liar's Club (1993)
*A date rape happens amongst a group of three close friends. The rape scene is quite graphic.
*The fact that the rape happened is kept secret amongst the three, in order to protect the perpetrator.
*The rape survivor becomes increasingly adamant about telling the authorities about the rape, despite repeated attempts to silence her. She is murdered to stop her from talking.

The Life of David Gale (2003)
*A reporter interviews man in prison for raping and murdering a friend of his.

Like Grains of Sand (1995)

Lilya 4-Ever (2003)
*Rampant with rape scenes. These scenes are all filmed very graphically.
*Rampant with sexually exploitative scenes.
*Deals with the child sex trade and pedophilia.

Linda / Captive Women (1982)
*A woman drugs her sister and forces her to work as a prostitute and undergo S&M acts.
*A graphic rape scene takes place.

Linda and Abilene (1969)
*This movie involves sibling incest.
*A young woman is raped and her brother seeks revenge.

Lipstick (1976)
*A music teacher of two sisters meets with the elder sister. She takes a phone call, interrupting their meeting. He then becomes hostile and she orders him to leave. A very graphic assault / rape scene takes place. She is completely brutalized during the rape. The scene is filmed very realistically. The music teacher also tries to scare and seduce her before the rape.
*Later in the movie, after unsuccessfully prosecuting him, he is let free. The trial is seen, and it is very graphic in the retelling and disgusting that he is not prosecuted.
*While free, he comes back to rape the younger sister.

Liquid Sky (1982)
*This movie has several graphic rape scenes, including a lesbian rape.
*Each rapist dies immediately after raping the heroine.

*Two psychopaths rape a young girl.
*She kills them to protect herself.

*A woman is almost raped by a man who is in love with her.

The Little Thief (1999)
*I think that there is a rape scene in this movie, but am unsure.

Live Fast, Die Young (1958)
*Kim, on of the sisters in a dysfunctional Californian family, suffers the effects of sexual abuse. This causes her to hate men.

The Locusts (1997)
*Clay admits that he was guilty of statutory rape, although the act was consensual. We do not see anything take place.

Lolita (many remakes)
*All the Lolita movies deal with pedophelia and / or statutory rape.
*There is actual rape in the novel, although the authour does not use this term outright. This means that it's likely that some of the remakes include scenes of rape.
The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996)

Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977)
*At the end of this film there is a brutal, horrible and graphic rape scene.

Lorna (1964)

*A man spikes some women's drinks so he can later rape them. He makes the comments that he wants to know what kind of cab to order for her for after he is done.

Lost & Found (1999)
* An incestuous joke is made in this move. Wally tells Dylan he and his uncle used to wrestle when he was 7. His uncle gets nervous and reminds him that it was their little secret. This is played for laughs.

MacBeth (1971)
*There is a rape scene in this movie in which MacDuff's wife or children (this is not clear) were raped.

Macon County Jail (1997)
*Extremely graphic rape scene.
*A woman is raped by the son of a sheriff. She kills him because of the rape.

Mad Hot Ballroom (PG) (2005) (Documentary)
*A girl talks about drunken men and how they might possibly kidnap and rape young girls. Nothing is seen. I believe this is a very minor part of the documentary.

Mad Max (different years)
*All Mad Max movies likely have rape scenes.
*A biker gang rapes a couple, both the man and the woman.

Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981)
*All Mad Max movies likely have rape scenes.
*A biker gang chases a woman attempting to flee them. She is raped and murdered.

*A man is being blackmailed for embezzlement. His daughter gets the money back, although she must withstand a sexual assault to do so.

The Magdalene Sisters (2002)

*She is blamed for her own rape and is taken to an asylum run by nuns for her "wrongdoing".
*She is treated abusively by the nuns whilst there.

Mama Luka Comes Home (1989)
*A missionary woman is beaten, imprisoned and raped by a gang of rebels in the Congo. *25 years later, she revisits the country in which she received so much abuse and gives her forgiveness.
*This may be especially triggering as it is based on a true story.

THE MAN (2005) (Samuel L. Jackson, Eugene Levy) (PG-13)
*A female prisoner feels a man's butt (against his will).
*A man frisks another man in the crotch area and very unprofessionally jokes about the size of his penis.

Man Bites Dog (1993)
*This movie is a very dark and violent movie about a serial killer who allows film crews to follow him around in order to make a documentary about him. They watch as he selects and and attacks his victims.

Man On Fire (2004)
*A man is stripped to his underwear and has a bomb inserted into his rectum. The clock of the bomb starts the countdown.
*Although further sexual assault does not take place in this movie, there are scenes of extreme violence and victims being tied up. Also, there are frequent flashbacks by a father of his daughter being kidnapped, and we hear her heartbreaking screams. This may be very difficult to some to watch.

The Man Without a Face, (1993)

Maniac (1963) (1980)
*We learn that four years ago, a young girl was raped in a small town.
*Her rapist was murdered by the girl's father.

Mansfield Park (1999)
*Illustrations of bare breasted women being raped assaulted, kidnapped and tortured are seen. The drawings depict a character of the movie doing these acts, so it can be surmised that he carried out these atrocities.
*This movie is based on Jan Austin's Mansfield Park, but the creators of the movie have taken ridiculous liberties. Many say that the drawings are terribly out of place, especially for a romantic movie.
The Mansion of the Living Dead (1985)
*This is a gruesome movie in which a graphic rape scene takes place.

Marie Baie des Anges (1997)
*A woman is in the shower when a man grabs her breast. She is then gang raped. This is not shown, but it is made very clear.

*The basic plot for all these movies, which are filmed quasi-documentary style, is about married couples who look for more fulfillment in their marriage. The pursuit of this leads to explorative sex and extra-marital affairs. Some of the sex is brutal, and there may be some S&M type scenes. All sex scenes are graphic and nudity is seen. There are many potentially triggering scenes in these movies.

*This movie is set in an unnamed Central American country during the aftermath of a civil war.
*A mute rape victim must struggle with her memories of the war. I do not think the rape is seen.

The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc (1999)
*Note: It's likely that other remakes of the Joan of Arc story refer to rape in some way.
*Joan runs home where her older sister hides her in a closet where she then sees some English soldiers accost her sister. The sister tries to hit one of them with a sword but he grabs her, and rips open her shirt while kissing her. She then slaps him and in turn he slams her back against a closet door, lifts her from the floor by her neck and then runs a sword through her body. He then proceeds to violently rape her up against the door.
*Flashbacks of this scene replaying in her mind are shown.

*There is a rape scene in this movie, perhaps by a group of policemen.

As an adult, she is sexually dysfunctional and must deal with her past.

The Naked Cage (1986)
*An exploitative movie about women in prison.
*Numerous rape and sexual assault scenes occur.

Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994)
*A brief insinuation of intended rape is made. This is extremely minor and played for laughs.

Naked Lunch (1991)
*Although I can’t tell for certain, I’m pretty sure there is a graphic rape scene in this movie.

Naked Vengeance (1985)
*A man is tragically killed as he attempts to help a woman that is being raped.
*To recover from the shock of his death, the murdered man's wife travels to a house in a small town. While there, she is repeatedly harassed by a group of rednecks. She seeks help from the sheriff but he refuses. She is then gang raped by the group of men.
*She survives but is sent to a mental hospital to recover.
*She escapes and seeks violent revenge on her rapists.

Naked Violence (1969) / The Boys Who Slaughter / Sex in the Classroom (1974), (1969)
*This movie focuses on an adult who encourages a classroom of troubled teens to gang rape and murder their teacher (female).
*The search for this adult and the interrogation of the raping teens takes up the rest of the movie.

The Name of this Film Is Dogme95 (2000)
*This movie is a documentary of the directors that made such disturbing films as Festen, which is a story about sexual assault in an upper class family.

Name Unknown (1951)
*A young girl runs away from home. A juvenile court judge decides to show her what happens to girls who run away or who don't listen to their parents. He shows her cases where young women have been sexually assaulted, raped and murdered. He tells her that this is what happens to girls whose parents let them have jobs or were too defiant or independent.
*Nasty messages of male suppression of women are all throughout this film.

Narayama Bushiko / Ballad of Narayama (1982)
*Beastiality is in this movie.
*There is a rape scene(s) in this movie.

*Very disturbing, as the way it is slipped into the movie makes it seem as if this is a normal thought process for the average male.

National Lampoon's Gold Diggers (2004)
*Two senior men rob two senior women. Later, referring to the robbery, one of the women asks one of the robbers "You weren't planning on molesting us, were you?" She says this in a flirtatous manner.

*During this movie, it is made clear that the lead female character has been molested by her father.

Nell (1994)
*There is no rape scene in this movie, but rape is touched on throughout the film.
*A woman is raped and flees in fear to the forest to live out the rest of her life as a hermit.
*The main character of this movie is a young woman who was born as the result of a rape. We later learn that she had a sister, born due to a rape as well. The fact that there was a rape is discussed matter-of-factly, and no rape scene is shown.
*However, Nell has a distinct fear of men, instilled in her by her mother who must have experienced terror at the hands of men.
*There is a scene in which Nell is in a bar, and a group of men leer at her, try to get her to disrobe, and possibly do more (in terms of grabbing, etc.). This is especially unsettling as Nell grew up without outside contact and therefore has no usual skill set or understanding to deal with them. The men are taking serious advantage of her naïveté.

*The plot of this movie deals with a woman therapist suffering from multiple personality disorder. She has flashbacks of childhood molestation.

New Barbarians (1982)
*A male on male rape occurs in this movie.

*This movie documents the true life events of the rape culture in South Africa that exists today, where sexual assault and rape is common place.
*The movie follows the lives of three rapists.

The Nightcomers (1972)
*Inspired by the Henry James classic The Turn of the Screw.
*The possessed children rape their nanny.
*This movie includes sexual bondage.
*The groundskeeper repeatedly rapes the nanny (acting out a rape fantasy sex scene, I think). The children secretly watch him and perform the same behaviour on the nanny.

Night of the Wilding (1990)
*Three men are on trial for rape and assault. I do not think that the rape is seen.
*The men murder anyone who can jeopardize their trial.

*There are strong scenes of sexual and physical violence.
*A baby-sitter is raped by the father of the children she is looking after at the time.

Nightmare in Bedham County (1976)
*A sleaxy women in prison movie in which two young women are sent to prison and repeatedly raped and assaulted by the women inmates.

The Night Prowler (1978)
*This movie switches from comedic to serious.

*She fights back and rapes him instead.
*This does something to her mentally and she becomes a prowling rapist and finds other victims.

Nightstalker (2002)
*A sexually psychotic man rapes and murders a woman while she is asleep in her house.
*There are elements of satanic/ritual activity surrounding the rape.

*Her father forces her to become a prostitute.
*She eventually gets help from a child crises center, where she must cope with what has been done to her.
*Especially disturbing as this is based on a true story.

No Hard Feelings (1987) / Kick or Die (1991)
Two kick fighting champions are hired to protect women on campus from a rapist that has been terrorizing them.
*I am unsure whether or not a rape scene is shown.

No Lies... (1975)
*A young film student is taking candid footage of his female friend as she is getting ready to go out for the night. He asks her some disarming questions and she reveals that she was recently raped.
*The way the movie is filmed gives the viewer an intimate view of the trauma she suffers as a direct result of the rape.
*Although the movie is fictional, it is filmed in a realistic style (cinema verité).

No. 1 of the Secret Service (1977)
*A man must stop members of an organization called K.R.A.S.H. (Killing, Rape, Arsen, Slaughter and Hit).
*My research on this movie is sketchy. All I can learn is that this is a comedy with vast amounts of violence. I do not know whether rape takes place or not.

NORTH COUNTRY (2005) (Charlize Theron, Frances McDormand) (R)
*The entire movie deals with a woman suing her boss for sexual harrassment at work.
*Please keep in mind that there is so much that is triggering, that I cannot list it all here.
*Men who work with a woman are incredibly chavenistic and sexually harrasing of her. As she is in a male-dominated work environment, and none of the men have learned yet that sexual harassment is not acceptable, no one cares, including her boss, when she speaks out.
*As a result, she files a class action lawsuit against the company, and is pressured, threatened and bullied.
*She is made to undergo a gynecological exam to determine whether or not she is pregnant in order to keep her job.
*We see a flashback of a woman being raped by her high-school teacher. I don't think we see the actual rape, but we see her horrified face and hear her scream. A boy watches the act take place but does nothing to help her.
*The rape is discussed during a court case in ethical terms, but also in some pretty crass terms.
*A co-worker throws her down and prepares to rape her, but then does nothing… In an attempt to threaten her and scare her off bringing the sexual harassment she's facing to light.

Not in My Family (TV) / Shattering the Silence (TV) (1993)
*This movie is about a woman suffering from post-partum depression. The period of depression brings on repressed memories and flashbacks of her own father molesting her as a child.
*She discusses these memories with a therapist.
*In a difficult to watch scene, we see the woman blaming herself for the abuse and molestations she suffered.
*We learn that her niece was also raped by the woman’s father.
*The molester, in present day, is still abusing children. He is caught abusing his granddaughter.
*the woman confronts her mother with the knowledge that she was molested as a child. The mother is less than sympathetic / empathetic.

« Reply #15 on: July 30, 2009, 07:52:09 PM »
O / Othello (2001)
*There is a scene where the main character forcefully penetrates her after she pleads with him to stop (due to him getting rough and causing her pain).

Obsessive Love (1984) (1992)
*A woman is a fan obsessed with a soap opera star. She tracks him down and seduces him. This seduction borders on (or may be, I am unsure) rape.

Octavia (1982)
*A blind girl is mistreated all throughout her childhood, including being raped.
*I believe that there is a rape scene in this movie but am not sure.

The Offense (1973)
*This movie focuses on a detective that has been working within the British Police Force for the past 20 years. During this time, he has, among other things, witnessed or investigated countless rapes.
*He investigates a young man that he suspects has been carrying out a series of brutal rapes on young women.
*This investigation is the breaking point for the detective that has simply seen too much sexual violence in his lifetime. He violently attacks the man he is investigating and loses his mind.

OLIVER TWIST (2005) (Barney Clark, Ben Kingsley) (PG-13)
*A young boy forcibly has his clothes ripped off by other children. Full nudity is not seen. There is nothing sexual implied by this scene, but some viewers may find it disturbing.

Omega Cop II / Karate Cop / The Challenge: Omega Cop II (1991)
*The character played by Chuck Norris attempts to rape a woman.

Once Upon A Time In America (1984)
*This violent movie in which a gangster rapes numerous women.
*He sows no guilt or remorse for his behaviour.
*Every woman in this film is either prostituted, raped or sexually assaulted with a barrel of a gun.
*The DVD reissue of this movie extended at least one of the rape scenes.
*The audience is given the message that he rapes women because he was always taught by society that women are sex objects.

Once Were Warriors (1994)
*A girl is raped in her bed by one of her father's friends.
*She withdraws completely afterwards, as a result of the rape.
*Soon after, one night, her father finds that she has committed suicide. The parents break down sobbing, and that night, they go through her room where her father finds her diary. He sits there and reads all she has written (about the rape).

One Hour Photo (2002)
*A man forces a husband and his mistress to pose sexually with one another while he is threatening them with a knife. He makes them get into many sexually graphic poses (including oral sex) while he takes photos of them. Very disturbing.
*The woman from the above scene is found naked in a bathtub. This scene can be triggering as it is similar to the "cleansing" behaviour that sexual assault victims often experience.

One Night at Mccool's (2001)
*A man violently attempts to rape a woman who had gone out on a date with him. She manages to stop him after a fight, and the assault does not take place.

One of Her Own (TV) (1994)
*A young female cop is raped by a fellow officer.
*She reports the rape to her supervisors, but instead of helping her, they fire her.
*The police begin to continually harass her and her family as a result of her "squealing" on her fellow cop. The police department rallies around the rapist and shuts her out.
*She takes the entire police department to court as a result.

One Tough Cop (1998)
*We hear about a brutal scene in which two men raped a nun, carved crosses into her skin, then urinated on her. We so not see these events take place.

100 Proof (1997)
*Some may be especially triggered by this movie as it is based on a true story.
*Two women get very high on drugs. While high, one of them remembers that her father and his friends continually raped her all throughout her childhood. The movie contains underlying feelings related to the sexual abuse and child sexual abuse.

Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior (R) (2005)
*A woman who is a drug dealer tells her boss that she wants to quit. In response, he smashes a white powdery drug into her face (likely cocaine). She overdoses as a result, getting a bloody nose and foaming around her mouth. While she is in this state, he unbuttons her shirt and starts kissing her all over. She is unresponsive and this angers him, so he spits on her and leaves. No nudity is seen during this sexual assault scene.

The Opponent (1989)
*A woman is being beaten and raped. She is rescued by a boxer.

Orgy of the Blood Parasites (1975) / Frissons / The Parasite Complex / The Parasite Murders / Shivers / They Came From Within
*Parasites infect many people and turn them into sex maniacs.
*Many sexual taboos are broken in this film.
*There are graphic rape scene(s).

Original Sin (2001)
*An ex-lover comes on to a woman and starts to touch her between the legs and on her breast. She tells him no twice, but he disregards her. He calls her a whore. He kisses her and puts his fingers inside her. We see related movements. He tells her in a threatening kind of way that he was her first and he will also be her last. Ultimately, she appears to somewhat enjoy his touch.
*A woman is alone with a room full of men after her husband is thrown out of the building. They corner her and one man says he is going to find out what other "tricks" she has. This is said in a sexual and menacing way. The woman sees that she is about to be raped and sits on a nearby table to await her fait. She is resigned to what is about to happen as she knows she cannot fight them all off. The men start to approach her. We don't see anything else except for her walking out of the building later on and crying.

Orphans and Angels (2003)
*We learn that a woman is a rape survivor. She was raped as a child.
*She must deal with her troubled past throughout this movie, and takes drastic measures to help herself at the end.
*While trying Ecstasy for the first time, she tells a man of her past rape.
*A woman experiences unwanted strangulation / asphyxiation from her partner while they are having sex. She survives this, and her lover apologizes for his actions, as he misinterpreted what she wanted and genuinely believed he was acting according to her wishes. This scene is emotionally intense, but is not filmed exploitatively and is respectful.
*The entire film does not portray the issue of rape exploitatively or callously. It treats rape and sexual assault with seriousness, respect and careful thought.

Othello / O (2001)
*There is a scene where the main character forcefully penetrates her after she pleads with him to stop (due to him getting rough and causing her pain).

Our Guys: Outrage at Glen Ridge (TV)(1999)
*In 1989, a group of popular athletes at a high school are accused of the gang rape of a mentally handicapped teenaged girl.
*The town rallies to support the athletes and refuses to believe that they are capable of rape.
*The police and the school board cover up the rape.

Out of Sight (1998)
*An attempted rape takes place.

Out of Time (2003)
*This movie contains a graphic scene of sexual play, acting out a rape. It does not seem as if fear is shown.

Outpost Salvador / Salvador (1986)
*This movie may be especially triggering for some as it is based on true events.
*This movie deals with what life was like during the military dictatorship in El Salvador in 1980.
*A group of nuns (4 – 6) are gang raped, then murdered after the rapes
*The rape scene is very graphic and realistic.

*The hero of the movie saves the heroine from an attempted acquaintance rape. I remember this scene being particularly triggering for me, as Julia Robert’s acting and reactions were so true to life and realistic.

Prey for Rock and Roll (2003)
*Some critics review this movie to be extremely man hating.
*A man kills a child rapist.
*One of the main characters in this movie sing a harshly worded anti rape song.

*Some may find this movie especial disturbing as it is based on a true story.

Radio Flyer (1992)
*A father recounts his childhood in which his alcoholic father beat his mother and abused him and his brother.

The Rage: Carrie II (1999)
*This movie does not show rape or blatant sexual assault, but I have included it here because the men in the movie show reprehensible attitudes toward women, especially when it comes to having sex. Also, there are off colour jokes about killing the women you sleep with and of a woman unknowingly being filmed while having sex.
*One man asks another what sex with his partner is like. He makes a comment about splitting her in half.
*During the same discussion, they talk about a scoring system for sex, and talk about her point value if she was dead.
*Men play a videotape of a woman and man having sex. This was videotaped without her knowledge or consent.

*He is shown going through all of the after effects and trauma of rape, both emotional and psychological.

*A very dark film.
*A woman is taunted endlessly by a group of thugs. They wear her down. She then allows them to use her for sex, an act that borders on rape.

Raw Deal: A Question of Consent (2001)
*This is a documentary of the events that took place at a frat party. A woman, or women (this is not clear to me from my research) claims rape took place at the party. The frat boys claim that the sex was consensual.
*This movie may be especially disturbing to viewers because it is interspersed with actual footage of the sex acts filmed at the party.
*The footage led to the police deciding not to press charges against the fraternity.
*This decision led to the formation of an organization called N.O.W., which helped to get the fraternity banned from campus.

Realm of the Senses (1976)
*A man rapes an elder geisha woman. The scene is graphic.

*She feels ashamed and self blame for the incident and is afraid to speak out against the rapist.
*She finally gains the courage to tell what happened to her, but she is not believed.
*The man that raped her sees nothing wrong with what he has done and considers the sex act to be consensual.
*Members of his fraternity and feminist groups from the campus begin to piece together the true story of what happened.

The Rebel Rousers (1970)
*A member of a biker gang begins to sexually assault a woman. Someone intervenes.

*A lawyer is erroneously accused of rape and murder.

*We are told that a mother was raped before she was killed. We do not see this take place.

*An American woman visiting West Germany is caught up with a defecting spy. She is caught, brutally interrogated and taken to prison. The guards sadistically torture and rape her.

*A woman is shown being raped.
*Other residents in the shelter are raped.
*The disgust and fear of the rape victims are portrayed very graphically and realistically.
*An unfair and unresolved rape trial takes place.
*The rape scenes are savagely violent. The rapist’s repressed sexuality is used as a reason for committing the crimes.

Redneck County / Redneck County Rape / Heartbreak Hotel / Black Vengeance / Poor Pretty Eddy / (1973)
* An exploitative film.

*In this movie, juvenile delinquents sent to reform school are tortured by a female "warden".
*My research is not definitive, but I believe that there is a rape scene(s) in this movie.

*There is rape in this movie, but I am unsure whether it is seen or talked about.

Relax... It's Just Sex (1998)
*Two gay men are attacked and fight back against their attackers. They rape one of their attackers.
*They and their friends must somehow cope or come to terms with what took place.

Repulsion (1965)
*This movie is about a sexually repressed young woman who lives with her older sister. She disapproves of her sisters boyfriend. When her sister and her boyfriend go away on vacation, the young woman falls into a depression and has numerous fantasies, hallucinations and nightmares of rape.
*There are numerous rape scenes in this movie, including one very graphic and disturbing one.
*This movie is filmed to be very psychologically threatening to the viewer.

Requiem for a Dream (2000)
*A drug addicted woman runs out of money and has sex with her therapist in return for drugs. Can be very triggering, especially as she does not want to sleep with him but feels she has to.
*A party is held for a drug dealer. The same woman in the above scene walks
into a room where women are being forced to have sex in a gang rape scene.
As she enters, the men inside start cheering her on for what she is about
to be made to do. We see that she obviously does not want to do so, but
is forced, like the others, to have sex. We see her having anal sex with
another woman. There is a close up of her facial expression during this
act that is extremely disturbing. Afterwards, we see her on a couch in a
fetal position, obviously suffering from the trauma she has experienced.

*This scene intended to be comedic.

*A family attends the funeral of their young daughter who was raped and murdered.
*They family must deal with trying to come to terms with what has happened.
*The rapist is released by the police due to lack of evidence.
*The family intends to find the suspected rapist to get him back for what he has done.

The Rimers of Eldritch (2002)
*A small town in America is horrified when a girl is raped and a murder happens.
*I am unsure whether or not the rape is shown.

Rise and Fall of Idi Amin (1980)
*This is a biographical movie based on fact. Amin is a self proclaimed "Hitler of Africa" who leads a military takeover and is responsible for the deaths of 150,000 people. His power overtakes him and he becomes a sadistic psychopath who mingles voodoo, dancing, torture and rape.

Rivals (2000)
*This may be more upsetting to viewers as it is based on a true story.
*A young woman (teenaged, I believe) is raped by her friend’s boyfriend. We see the rape take place in an explicit scene.
*The girlfriend of the rapist catches them after the rape has taken place. She mistakenly believes that the two had been having consensual sex. As a result, she becomes obsessed with the sexual assault survivor and stalks her. The results are tragic and gruesome.
*The woman who was assaulted dies in the end at the hands of her attacker’s girlfriend.

The River Wild (1994)
*A veiled suggestion of rape appears in this movie.

*There is sexual innuendo regarding anal rape, child prostitution and bestiality.

Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993)
*A joking reference to rape is made.
*A woman wears a chastity belt (which we see). This is shown for comedy.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991)
*The Sheriff attempts to force Maid Marian to marry him. Then he demands that the marriage be consummated immediately. He attempts to rape her. The scene is played somewhat for laughs.
*Robin Hood saves her from being raped.
*What I found particularly insulting in this movie is that after he saves her from the near rape, he immediately starts kissing her and ‘making out’ with her. I just don’t think this would be possible in a real life situation- she would still be very afraid and likely in shock. Rape isn’t just something you can brush off. To add insult to injury, she’s already partly naked as a result of the near rape- very convenient for Robin Hood.

Robot Ninja (1990)
*A man witnesses the brutal gang rape and murder of a young couple.
*He invents a robot intent on seeking revenge.

Rob Roy (1995)
*This movie depicts a rape scene that is very graphic, elongated and realistic. An English soldier goes into the house where Rob Roy's wife lives. Upon finding her, he rapes her on a table. This scene is filmed very graphically and seemed long to me.After he has committed this act and leaves, she wades into a nearby lake and cleanses herself while sobbing.
*Her husband later discovers that she was raped and must deal with this knowledge.

ROLL BOUNCE (2005) (Bow Wow, Chi McBride) (PG-13)
*A group of boys slap a young girl's butt as she walks by.
*A boy has his pants pulled down in public in order to embarrass him.

Romance (R) (1999)
*This movie has many graphic and explicit sex scenes with full nudity.
*In one scene, a woman is raped. We see the act take place. She does not react to the rape with distress or anger, leaving me to believe that the aftermath of the rape is filmed unrealistically.
*A woman is dehumanized as she (willingly) wears a contraption that allows men to have intercourse with her without seeing any part of her above the waist. She also cannot see them. She is used by many men this way.

The Rookie (1990)
*A woman ties up a man and rapes him. S&M is part of this scene.

Roots (1977) (mini series)
*This series is a saga of African-American life, based on the family history of Alex Haley. A young man named Kunte is kidnapped from his village, sold in to slavery and taken to America. Themes of torture, extreme racism, humiliation, sexual assault and rape are found throughout each movie in this mini series. The book is more graphic than the movie, so please take care if you decide to read this story.
*The men who kidnap Kunte strip him naked, rub him with oil and inspect his naked body including his orifices. I believe the sexual assaults are shown in this scene.
*Slaves taken captive are put on a slave ship. Selected women are chosen to be raped by the captain of the vessel.
*The captain justifies the rapes by saying something along the lines of "It's good for the crew to bang the wenches."
*A woman (Kizzy) is raped by her new "owner". We don't actually see the rape, but we do see him grabbing her from behind as she strains to get away. We see her bruised body after the rape. She is impregnated and has a child as the result of this rape.
*A slave woman bluntly tells Kizzy that she'd better get used to not owning her body for the next 20 years, implying that she and all female slaves are frequently raped by the slave "owner".

Rope / Rope of Flesh / Mud Honey (1965)

*We see the pedophile whip this girl. He tells her that what he is doing is just foreplay to him. She comments that he can't get turned on unless she screams. We are also shown other scenes in which he acts against the child, but I do not know to what detail that is seen.

*In this movie, a male gang rape of male biker takes place. This is a somewhat graphic scene.

Spiderman (2002)
*This is a scene that I find most viewers don’t even remember. I find this especially troubling… what does it say about our society when a near rape scene is entirely forgettable to the viewers?
*Mary Jane, the heroine of the movie, finds herself in an alley. A group of menacing men jeer at her and approach her with the intent to rape her. Spiderman saves her at the last second.

*There is no actual rape scene in this movie. However, he is so high that he doesn’t realize how awful his actions are, which may be sexual assault in itself. It is hard to tell what has been consented to, so the lines are blurred. Be careful.

*A male teacher is living with one of his young students. He pressures her to have sex with him (although in at least one instance she is not adverse to having sex with him). He gropes her, tells her to put him in his mouth (to have oral sex). In the oral sex scene she is uncomfortable. He's feeling her up and then someone walks in on them, ending the act.
*A boy masturbates pubicly (I include this as an act of sexual assault becuase I believe that it is a kind of sexual assault for unsuspecting people to see sex acts in public, when they have every expectation and right to be free of witnessing things like that).
